home care service in chicago?
I am recently new to Chicago and only know a few people. I have to have some surgery next month and obviously I can’t drive myself home, but I really don’t want to take a taxi. I am looking for an "at home nurse" type service that can just pick me up and make sure I get in my apartment safely and I don’t really need them to stay long but I don’t know what to do. The few people I feel comfortable asking who live here I don’t want to have them have to take off work so are there any places you would suggest?

Sound like you need a cna..Try one of these 2 places… home watchcare givers,or visiting angels care givers. My girl friend works as a cna at home watch,good company,they can deffenitly do what you need!!!If you do not like these companies,there are several more in the area of chicago,you can google search

Check with the hospital, they surely have some type of Home Health Care services.
